Simon P Barlow has been a professional photographer for a number of years. He began taking motor sport pictures in the early 80's for car and bike magazines and later moved on to aerial photography after gaining his pilots licence.

After a successful career in IT lasting over 20 years, he returned to photography full time and now covers commercial, newspaper & event photography. Simon started Spotlight-Party.co.uk after he was asked to shoot a one off party for a friend's daughter. After the shoot, the photos were shown around the school to her friends, and the requests to do more parties started rolling in. With the original idea, Simon then developed a web site and brought Mark on board to help with the workload. The rest, as they say, is history.

Simon said.... " I really enjoy shooting these parties, even though they can be hard work, the results are rewarding. Talking to young people about professional modeling is interesting too, once they realise, it's not just being able to smile in front of the camera, but hard work as well, with several costume, makeup, and hair changes all in one photo session, they start to realise that it's not as glamorous as it seems!"

Simon is also a contributor to some of the worlds top photo agencies and shoots photos for stock and on commission.

Simon has been married for over 25 years and lives just outside Manchester with his wife and two siamese cats.
